When it’s that time of year when the leaves are falling and you know snow is on the way, you may be thinking about how to maintain your outdoor pickleball court in the winter months. Depending on the season, there are a number of different tools you will need to keep your pickleball court clean.
Leaf blower
While the leaves fall, whether on your private court or public courts, you will want an easy, quick solution to remove those leaves each day. A cordless leaf blower will remove those leaves in minutes, and you can clear the courts for all players.
A leaf blower can also help dry and/or move the water off the court. Learn how to use a leaf blower to dry a pickleball court in this video.
Squeegee
A court squeegee will help get the water off the court after a rainstorm or snowstorm. Although there are a limited number of pickleball court squeegees out there, there are plenty of tennis court squeegees for sale that will work perfectly for pickleball.

Pressure washer
Using a pressure washer on a regular basis will help keep debris and marks off your court. You only need to pressure wash a few times a year (depending on how often it’s played on) and can rent one if you don’t want to buy one.
Broom & dustpan
If you do not want to invest in any of these tools, a broom and dustpan is always a good option. It take more time to get debris off your pickleball court with a broom, and will not be able to remove all the water after a rainstorm, but it will be better than nothing.
Keeping your pickleball court clear of debris and water will be crucial to helping it last as long as possible. There are plenty of tools out there to help you remove leaves, water, and other debris so you can be playing pickleball into the fall and winter months.
