Walrond Park

Updated 06/12/2022 Organized play is every Monday through Friday mornings starting at 8:30am and lasting until 10:30am. Paddles and balls are available during organized times. Two dedicated pickleball courts are available all day until 11:00pm each night. Two other dedicated courts with temporary nets are available during morning organized times. All courts are lighted until 11:00pm seven days a week. All skill levels are welcome and players are available during organized times to help beginners learn the game. A hitting wall is also available for solo practice. The park includes eight tennis courts, a picnic shelter, a hiking trail, and restrooms. Come out and join us! When the weather is poor, we play at Green Ridge Recreation Center. Many pickleball players in the Roanoke area use PlayTimeScheduler.com to find open courts and other players. You will find information there on at least nine outdoor and indoor venues in the Roanoke area.
