Palmetto Park

Address: 102 S Magnolia Ave, Florahome, FL 32140 The Florahome Parks and Recreational Association is currently organizing a cleanup and repair of disused tennis courts as part of their efforts to rejuvenate the park in this small community. Work on the courts is imminent, with the first clinic scheduled for mid-April. This initiative was inspired by an article in the Palatka Daily News highlighting our group’s effort in San Mateo, where local residents and volunteers from the St. John’s River Pickleball Group came together to restore courts and make them playable again. This is an ongoing project aimed at expanding our reach throughout the region. Thanks to one of our members—a retired sports teacher—we are also offering free clinics in nearby schools. Putnam County, Florida’s poorest county, is home to many families of limited means, and our mission is to introduce this fun, inclusive sport to every member of the community, regardless of age.
